About Me

I'm Patti, the artist behind Eversoartfully.

I've been artistic for as far back as I can remember.  Always heavily influenced by fashion, I made my own paper dolls as a kid, so naturally I assumed I'd do something in the art world.   Fashion design maybe???  Nope.  Didn't do that.  Instead, I took a boring desk job and said "so long" to my creative side for a while.  A long while.

Then in 2014, after my father had a stroke and I assumed the role of caregiver, I needed an outlet to express the roller coaster of emotions I was experiencing on a daily basis.  Enter God - it's always Him - to remind me of the talent HE gave me, my first love.  So once again I began painting girls in pretty dresses.  This time in earnest and they were ridiculously bad - you don't use it, you lose it - but it was fun and eventually I got better.  And better.  And better.  (It's okay to notice that you're killing it.)

So now I'm here, grateful for every day that I get to spend in my little studio - listening to Maverick City, The Nateland Podcast, earning my hard fought, imaginary degree in Photoshop, spilling paint, smudging paper, ruining paintings and then coming up with a solid gold keeper.  It's all part of the process.  Being pruned.  And it's a gift from God for which I am Eversoartfully grateful.

1 Peter 2: 9 "As a result I can show others the goodness of God, for He has called me out of darkness into His marvelous light"
